SubjectMinor oral surgery
DescriptionA mixture of hands-on & lecture to demonstrate extraction techniques and to allow participants to practice forceps / elevator / luxator techniques on models. Recommended instruments will be discussed, as well as indications / contraindications and complications of dental extractions. Clinical scenarios involving patient medical histories will be discussed with a view to improving participants' confidence both in extraction technique and and whether a patient is suitable to be treated in primary or secondary care.
