DescriptionAn update on periodontal disease aetiology and diagnosis and how it is best treated in a busy general practice.
Additional information

After an initial presentation and update on periodontal aetiology and diagnosis, including discussion on the fundamental role of bacterial biofilms the day will develop by focusing in on cases with diagnostic dilemmas or problems. There is then discussion on risk factors, illustrated by further groupwork and discussion on more complex cases. At some stage during the day there will be an interactive exercise on the assessment of prognosis for individual teeth. As with all courses run by Phil Ower the programme is designed to be highly flexible; most of the day is spent in discussion and the topics covered will vary, depending on the direction of the discussion. Attdnace is limited to 20 delegates to facilitate this interactive workshop style event

To appreciate the factors influencing the assessment of prognosis for individual teeth.
