DescriptionThis course is designed to raise the awareness of the dental team about safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. It supplies information to level 2.

Martyn Green has been a practice owner in NHS general dental practice since 1984 and was Associate Dental Post Graduate Dean (DF1) at the University of Bristol until July 2012. He has been a member of the General Dental Council’s Fitness to Practise Panel since 2003 and one of the Chairs since 2006. In the South West region, he was a Vocational Trainer from 1990 to 1994, was appointed as Vocational Training Advisor in 1994 and as the Regional Advisor in General Dental Practice from 1997- 2012. He is a past President of the Christian Dental Fellowship and is on the advisory board of the dental charity Bridge2Aid. He is a non-executive director of Dentists’ Provident and was appointed as a Fee Paid (Dental) Member of the First-Tier Tribunal – Primary Health Lists in 2011. He was part of the expert group which produced “Child Protection and the Dental Team‟ (COPDEND 2006). Martyn is married to Sue, they live in Devon and have 2 sons and a daughter. Martyn sings with the East Devon Choral Society, he enjoys golf, walking on Exmoor and the Pembrokeshire coast path and natural history but does not own an anorak!
