1. Recognise the dental team's key role in detecting the early signs of cancer and precancer

2. Learn what the risk factors for oral cancer are

3. Be able to carry out a thorough examination with knowledge of the signs and symptoms

4. Know the criteria for referral following the NICE guidelines

5. Be able to communicate to your patients how oral cancer can be prevented
