DescriptionBroken down teeth provide us with restorative challenges, no least whether restoration is possible!. This course will look at tooth assesment and subsequent planning of restoration using bonding and other techniques whilst considering how to protect any remaining cusps. When elective RCT may be required will be looked at. Practical sessions will build on the seminar sessions including the preparation for cuspal protecting indirect restoration Participants are asked to bring posterior extracted teeth, including those with large restorations for use in the treatment planning and practical sessions.

Objectives
  1. Understand the objective assesment of broken down teeth.
  2. Practice using bonding techniques, slots and grooves and preparations for cuspal protection.
  3. Understand the need for elective RCT.
  4. Practice the preparation of teeth for indirect cuspal protection restorations.
