Description | Professor Nicola West and Dr Joon Seong are at the forefront of research in new technologies in periodontitis and in particular dentine hypersensitivity. This lecture based programme gives an overview of new treatment modalities, and addresses the increasing problem of peri-implantitis. The course will be of interest to all members of the dental team, but of particular value to Dentists, Hygienists, Therapists and Nurses with a health education role |

Nicola West trained at Cardiff Dental School gaining Fellowship in junior hospital appointments and a PhD in Dentine Hypersensitivity, before being appointed as Senior Lecturer/ Honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry (Periodontology) at Bristol Dental Hospital. Nicola is the British Society of Periodontology Representative in the South West, has published prolifically in peer reviewed journals and is an international speaker in her field of periodontology. Joon Seong qualified from the University of Bristol and has worked as a Researcher at the Clinical Trials Unit and a House Officer in the Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Bristol Dental Hospital. Joon is a Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Bristol and is involved with the teaching of Periodontology and Implantology at an undergraduate level. He is a member of British Society of Periodontology and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow. |
