Additional information

Delegates must be qualified to deliver ID blocks and LIA to attend this course and verification of this must be seen by the tutors on the day. A copy of your certificate of competance must be handed in along with copies of your current GDC registration, indemnity insurance and up to date basic life support training.

Aims

This course is for Hygienists and Therapists who have previously completed infiltration and inferior dental block training but need an update to boost confidence in practical delivery.

Objectives

By the end of the session, the participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the current position regarding working to an effective written prescription for Prescription Only Medicines.
  2. Knowledge of the current local anaesthetic solutions & equipment available.
  3. Identify different options and techniques for successful delivery of infiltration and block anaesthesia.
