DescriptionYou are invited to join us at a workshop to help develop a dental reform strategy for the South West. We want to consider the best way to shape oral health services for the future in the South West, aligned to the needs of people in our region and plans for other services in local areas. This workshop and the others in the series are for all those, including patients and partners, interested in improving dental services in the South West
Additional information

The details you provided when registering for the event are currently stored on the MaxCourse database. In order to allow us to invite individuals to breakout groups during the session, we will need to share this information with the Direct Commissioning Team at NHS England & NHS Improvement South West who are running the event.

Your email address will be used only for the purposes of formally inviting you to the event and allocating you into a discussion space and will be destroyed immediately after.

Within the Dental Commissioning Team, NHS England and NHS Improvement South West, we are reviewing the dental services we commission, including high street dental services, hospital based dental services and the oral health improvement services we buy to identify what is working well and opportunities for improvement. We also have priorities and recommendations identified within the recently published South West Oral Health Needs Assessment https://www.england.nhs.uk/south/info-professional/dental/dental-reform-stratgey (OHNA) and experiences and ideas shared by local people.

We are working with Public Health England South West and Health Education England South West to together build a South West Dental Reform Strategy using your ideas collected at these workshops. This will allow us to help local people who need help most with their oral health.

We are inviting members of the dental team and other non-dental professionals who have an interest in oral health, together with patient representatives and local community representatives. You do not have to be a member of the dental team to book your place. Anyone who is interested can register and book a place by creating an account.

The workshops will bring together groups of people who all have expertise in oral health and care in some way to help us design an innovative South West Dental Reform Strategy for local people.

The South West Dental Reform Strategy will look at what is possible within existing contractural arrangements, potentially drawing on a flexible commissioning approach.

We are holding a series of three workshops and would warmly encourage you to attend all three workshops. The sessions will be interactive and will focus on different issues and questions, combining outputs from research, evidence including data and problem solving.  Future dates-  Workshop 2: 2nd, 3rd or 5th August 6-8.30pm, Workshop 3: 30th September 6-8.30pm (will be available for booking via maxcourse)

ONCE YOU HAVE BOOKED ON YOU WILL FIND THE MS TEAMS JOINING LINK UNDER THE COURSE DOCUMENTS FOR THIS EVENING.
