Aims

The aim of the course is to describe psychiatric disorders and their relation to dental practice in order to help manage patients with the broad range of psychological illnesses

Objectives

At the end of the course participants should:

 

  • Understand the nature of psychiatry and the psychiatric disorders

 

  • Recognise psychological factors and psychological illnesses in dental patients.

 

  • Understand how psychiatric disease may present oro-facial manifestations.
