Aims

Course Synopsis and Aims:

The conservation of sound tooth structure helps preserve tooth vitality and reduce post-operative sensitivity. Innovative preparation designs, like those for porcelain laminate veneers, resin-bonded bridgework, inlays and onlays are much less invasive than conventional complete coverage crown preparations. Despite this, they are not frequently used in general dental practice and they have an undeserved reputation for failure.

The course duly covers GDC verifiable CPD requirements and also satisfies CQC outcomes 12, 13 and 14.

Objectives

Objectives:

2. To discuss the expected longevity of such restorations.
3. To practise treatment planning clinical cases for adhesive restorations.
4. To review current bonding concepts and tips for clinical success.
