DescriptionThe day will cover general decontamination considerations for reusable medical devices, the importance of using washer disinfectors and ultrasonic baths, including best practice for manual cleaning. The latest developments of sterilizer types B,S & N and decontamination factors to consider when purchasing a reusable medical device will be discussed, as well as identifying the appropriate water quality for both washer disinfectors and sterilizers. HTM washer, ultrasonic and sterilizer testing will also be covered, along with audit processes and standard operating procedures.
