Aims

To provide an introduction to Inhalation Sedation for those interested in taking it up either as operators or as dental nurses assisting

Objectives

By the end of the course participant will :

Have an overview of inhalation sedation /context for use, historical background, etc

  • Reviewed options for managing anxious patients
  • Be aware of the key legal and professional aspects of RA, including consent
  • Be aware of the anatomy, physiology and chemistry related to RA provision
  • Preparation and delivery of safe RA to patients
  • Patient management under RA and handling complications
  • Have practised key aspects of these objectives.
