DescriptionThis is an afternoon workshop for all members of the dental team to improve awareness of deafness and its relevance in dental practice. The session will involve lectures, practical activities and role play activities all led by a deaf lead tutor. A small buffet lunch will be available from 12.30 with the course running from 1.30 to 4.30.

2. To understand technologies used by deaf people to communicate 

3. To spell the alphabet in BSL

Objectives

1. To be able to use a range of simple, commonly used skills when communicating with deaf people (verbal, manual and written) 

2. To be able to address greet and take leave of a deaf sign language user.
