Aims

To

  1. Give an overview of the Inman aligner and what it can achieve
  2. Give an overview of fixed appliances and what they can achieve
  3. Emphasise the importance of case selection
  4. Discuss alignment in conjunction with bleaching, bonding and veneers
  5. Look at different types of 'invisible braces'
  6. Examine space requirement calculations and the indications for expansion, reproximation and extractions
  7. Describe different retention techniques
Objectives

At the end of this talk participants will

  1. Have an understanding of the different orthodontic options and their relative strengths and weaknesses
  2. Appreciate how simple alignment can minimise the invasiveness of restorative techniques
  3. Have an understanding of the relative merits of bleaching, bonding and veneers
