Aim: To give an overview of treatment options for advanced periodontal cases.

1. Discuss the management of local and systemic antibiotics in advanced cases.
2. How microbial testing may assist treatment planning.
3. Identify different types of bone defects, to include a practical session with current regenerative materials. 
4. Understand the importance of optimal oral hygiene during and post surgical phase (and to prevent it too!)
