The aim of this award is to enable delegates to understand the basic principles of risk assessment so they can contribute to the process within their own working environment.

Objectives
The Risk Assessment course comprises of three outcomes:
 
1. Appreciation of the main causes of accidents/ill-health & their implications for people at work & how risk assessment links to accident prevention
2. Application of the legal requirements for risk assessment as stated under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations
3. Demonstrate the principles of risk assessment by using a range of methods and record the outcomes
