Aims

To provide an opportunity for the memberrs of a practice to see how working as a team can help the individual as well as he pratice.  It will give establishedd teams a chancce to consolidate heir team-working skills.

Objectives
1. To appreciate that the patient’s journey is the responsibility of the whole team and that it will only work effectively if the individual members of the team work together as a team
2. To highlight what service excellence means and that it is important for the whole team to demonstrate service excellence with every patient
3. To understand the importance of making a good first impression, what changes they could make to ensure they are making a good first impression when at work and how this could positively impact patients and, therefore, the practice.To learn that it is a no-brainer to make the effort to communicate effectively if participants are interested in making their lives easier and happier on a daily basis.
4. To realise the key to good communication is understanding the need to communicate effectively. 
5. To realise the importance of taking personal responsibility, which will help the growth of the individual and the practice too.
6.To highlight how appraisals can help work towards practice goals if individual goals are met, which can lead to motivation and staff retention.
7. To understand that there is much more preparation as well as a mindset shift in order for appraisals to be effective.
8. To highlight discrepancies between what’s important to the individual and the practice and, therefore, what can be done to address these differences in order to make the individual happier and the practice more successful.
9. To find out what the motivational goals are for staff members and for them to run an effective goal setting session. 

10. To recognise the real motivation behind what individuals want; which can then be fitted into the practice’s development plans appropriately.
