DescriptionAn overview of orthodontics for the GDP. Jeremy graduated in 1989 and won national awards in general practice. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1993 and completed orthodontic specialist training (including study in the U.S.) in 1997. He has been an invited speaker in the UK and overseas, published articles in international dental journals, and won several major national awards. He has a special interest in adult orthodontics and multi-disciplinary cases. Jeremy established the River Practice in 2008, and now divides his time between Truro and The Crescent Specialist Dental Centre in Plymouth, which he founded in 2000.

understand the selection and timing of referrals, including the use of the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN) and its role in NHS referral

understand what extent of orthodontics is appropriate in general practice

know how orthodontics can help solve many restorative and periodontal challenges
