DescriptionThis course has been postponed from June and is a course for all practice staff on personal safety awareness and controlling violence and aggression in the workplace. There is a cold buffet style meal from 18.00. The course is seminar in style and towards the end of the evening is most definitely "hands-on".

Aims

To provide participants who may have to deal with violence in and out of their place of work with knowledge and training consistent with safe working practice which is within the law.

Objectives

1. To enable participants to be aware of their personal safety.

2.To enable participants to assess risks, threats and body langauge.

3. To enable participants to communicate effectively and to employ appropriate diffusion skills in threatening situations
