- To understand S3-level clinical guidelines and how they work and can be applied in the NHS.
- To demonstrate how poor diet and nutrition drives periodontal inflammation and how good nutrition can help restore health
- To explain the nature of peri-implant diseases and give insights into the latest S3-level guideline on managing these conditions

Learning outcomes | After this course, delegates will be able to: - Appreciate the burden of periodontitis on humankind

- Understand the impact of nutrition upon periodontal inflammation
- Be able to confidently discuss and explain to patients the relative benefits of retaining teeth versus having implants, and what the options are for managing peri-implant diseases.
