DescriptionPlease join us in Taunton on June 5th for our first Southwest International Dental Graduate Conference. This is a free event, supported by the ICBs – and offers 6 hours of CPD. All dentists working in the Southwest, whose primary dental qualification is from outside of the UK are welcome to attend. It doesn’t matter if you already have your Performer Number, if you are working toward it, or working in another role whilst preparing for ORE. This is a fantastic networking opportunity. Cascade Theatre Company will lead the morning session on Communication Skills, Leo Briggs, Deputy Head of the Dental Defence Union with be covering Dento-legal issues in the afternoon. Communication Skills, Cascade Theatre Company

Cascade specialises in exploring communication in an enjoyable and insightful way. The Cascade Trainers shed light on many of the unconscious behaviours and traits that Dentists and patients exhibit and help you find resolutions in a practical and engaging way. The Trainers, Kit and Carol will reconstruct some of our worst nightmares and show us how we can avoid and handle problems using adaptable people skills. You will be introduced to new techniques with a strong focus on understanding non-verbal communication and body language.

Dento-Legal Update, Leo Briggs

Leo Briggs, Deputy Head of the Dental Defence Union will cover some of the current dento-legal issues faced by registrants , focusing on Complaints Handling.
