Lecturer profileHeather is a fully qualified careers guidance professional with over 20 years’ experience working in a wide range of settings. Heather has worked with clients with diverse guidance needs: these clients include undergraduates, postgraduates, women returners, teachers, nurses, solicitors and, more recently, medical professionals. She has designed and delivered both certificated and non-certificated courses in universities, schools and colleges and worked with employers to provide outplacement services. Since joining Severn PGME in 2008, Heather has worked closely with Bristol University Medical School, Trusts and Educational Supervisors to provide a high quality careers information, advice and guidance service to individuals and groups at various stages in their medical training. Heather is also qualified to administer psychometric assessments (Morrisby, NEO-PIR, MBTI and Hogan) and holds a number of professional qualifications including Careers Education and Careers Guidance. She is a committee member of the national medical careers advisers’ network, which operates in conjunction with AGCAS, CDI and MDRS and has successfully lead a number of organisations to achieve national quality standards for the provision of careers information, advice and guidance.
