About the “Foundation Cases” teaching series:

Delivering education to trainees has become more challenging during the COVID19 pandemic. As such the ‘foundation cases’ series has been set up to provide doctors as an alternative to face to face teaching. To be kept up to date about upcoming events visit our Facebook page.

After the session please complete the feedback form via Maxcourse. Certificates of attendance to use for your CV/as proof for teaching hours will be provided via Maxcourse when feedback is complete.

Mandatory: Foundation Year 1, or Foundation Year 2, or Non-Trainee Grade Junior Doctor

This virtual sim is led by a mixture of core trainees on commonly encountered acute encounters you might experience as an FY1/2 on call. It is designed to give you confidence managing the ‘acutely unwell’ patients you may encounter as well as tips & tricks on common presentations.

• To gain confidence managing common on call presentations.
• To lead your team through the assessment and management of an acutely unwell patient
