Aims

Introduction to Anaesthetics. A case-based introduction to anaesthesia including the triad of anaesthesia, general versus regional anaesthesia and obstetrics.

Objectives
  • Learn the triad of anaesthesia
  • Understand the differences between regional and general anaesthetic
  • To understand the different types of airways anaesthetists can use
  • To learn what anaesthetic options there are for common operations such as laparoscopic appendicectomy
