In person sessions covering the realm of QI (Quality Improvement) in greater detail including sessions on Fundamentals of Improvement, A3 Thinking and Leadership in Healthcare

Session to take place in Tutorial Room 4, UH Bristol Education and Research Centre, Upper Maudlin Street, Bristol, BS2 8AE. Lunch and refreshments provvided. Please state diet requirements.

Aims

To enhance Leadership skills and provide Foundation Doctors with the tools and methodology to lead and conduct a QI project.

Objectives

Objectives: Quality improvement training

· Overview on audit vs QI

- Brick game (practical improvement methodologies, with relevant clinical examples)

- QI Methodology, including:

o Quick wins,

o PDSAs

o A3 Thinking

o Fish bones & 5 whys

o Prioritisation Matrix

Objectives: Leadership Training

· Leading within healthcare

· Compassionate and inclusive leadership

· Teamwork & psychological safety

· Personal values in leadership and Lumina principles
