Description: General surgery topics including the acute abdomen, hernias, acute vascular presentations, diverticular disease, colorectal cancer and an introduction to robotic surgery simulation for Foundation Year 2 Doctors as well as advice for how to succeed in core training from the Core TPD. A mixture of didactic and interactive teaching sessions covering general surgery topics and practical surgical skills with suturing, knot tying and robotic simulator coaching.
