Lecturer profile | Finbar qualified from Cork University Dental School and Hospital in 2010. Following graduation, he undertook vocational training on the West Coast of Scotland. He spent foundation training in Glasgow, split between Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Paediatric Dentistry and Special Care Dentistry.
Finbar spent 6 months as a Senior House Officer in Special Care Dentistry and Oral Surgery in Dundee Dental Hospital before Moving to the North West to take up his specialist training post. Finbar qualified as a Specialist in Special Care Dentistry in 2016 and worked for Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust before joining Lancashire Teaching Hospitals as a consultant in March 2017 |

Parent/Carer and advocate for children and young people with special educational needs. Elizabeth spent 20 years teaching in mainstream secondary schools as a special needs’ coordinator. She has spent her entire career advocating for and supporting disabled children and young people and those with Special Educational Needs. (SEND) both on an individual level and a national policy level. Elizabeth was on the Decision Making Panel in the RCSLT Bercow - 10 years on review of Speech and Language Provision and was a committee member for the influential Nice Guideline NG213, Integrated service delivery for Children and young people up to 25 with severe and complex needs; integrated service delivery. She is a current NHS trust governor for CWP Foundation Trust. Elizabeth regularly speaks to and advocates for parents, families, children and young people. She speaks at local and national conferences about the system complexities for Children and young people. Elizabeth has been involved in the health system within Greater Manchester for over 11 years, influencing policy and working with leaders to ensure the voices, needs and experiences of our most vulnerable children and young people are not overlooked. She is currently working closely with Lankelly Chase and GMCA on a project to bring together a network of disabled young people to advise the mayor and others Elizabeth is also director of a social enterprise Wraparound Partnership who deliver training to professionals and support to families including representation at First Tier SEND Tribunals. |

Moved to the United States, where I worked in my husband’s motorcycle business. I became a Course Director for Behavioural Sciences at USC Dental School in Los Angeles. Returned to England in 1993 working in General Dental Practice, while maintaining my interest in Oral Surgery and Behavioural Sciences. I have worked as a Clinical Assistant in Warrington General Hospital, and taught undergraduates at Manchester Dental Hospital. I provided a Tier 2 MOS Service and taught MOS to DCT1s Actively involved in teaching Personality, Communication, Assertiveness & Resilience skills to FDs/GDPs/DCPs. Currently Chair of the Clinical Advisory Group for Bridge2Aid a dental charity working in LMICs (low and middle income countries)
