Lecturer profileDesignated Nurse Looked after Children & Care Leavers, Manchester ICB, Bury Locality.
I have worked with Looked after Children and within Safeguarding for the past 7 years. During this time I have worked directly with Looked after Children and Care Leavers and have a good understanding of the challenges they face in accessing healthcare. My current role with commissioning is to support and advocate for young people and help them in accessing appropriate healthcare. Prior to this I worked as a School Nurse and a midwife so have a variety of experience and expertise in wider safeguarding issues.
