She joined the team in 2009 after spending over 25 years working in the GDP and Community dental sector amassing a wealth of dental experience and acquiring professional qualifications; attaining a National Certificate in Dental Nursing, Certificate in Conscious Sedation and Radiography.
During her time as an Infection Prevention & Control Practitioner she has achieved post graduate qualifications in the principles and management of infections and a teaching qualification in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS).
Her role involves supporting the primary dental care services within the 3 boroughs remit to maintain standards and improve compliance with regards to infection control.

Lecturer profileAfter graduating from Leeds University in 2010 Samantha has spent the next 8 years working within Smoking Cessation services across England with a particular interest in Smoking in Pregnancy. She has worked alongside Kathy Hawley and Leena Sankla to both develop and deliver the Integrated model of smoking cessation and wellbeing in pregnancy and presented at the UKNSCC in 2014. Working for the largest commissioned health service Nationally, she is now the Regional Health Improvement Manager currently delivering Stop Smoking Services for Liverpool and Sefton in Merseyside.

Lecturer profileMike qualified as a dentist and has spent most of his career in the community dental service where he became a clinical director. He went on to become head of the Greater Manchester School for DCPS. He sits on the Fitness to Practice Panel of the GDC and is an external examiner. He has a PhD in dentist-patient communication and considerable experience in the education of DCPs and dentists.
