• professional lead on all issues relating to safeguarding children, with a key role in formulating policy and helping to shape services locally, and nationally
• local health lead for Public Protection and the Department of Health ‘PREVENT’ strategy
• active member and health advisor to the Local Safeguarding Children Board, contributing to a number of national forums and steering groups.
