To support oral health service commissioning driven by the oral health needs of our population

The Swallows Head & Neck Cancer Charity  

To Inform delegates about the history of the Swallows charity and how it provides support to head and neck cancer patients.

Workplace Wellbeing

To raise awareness of what might be impacting on staff wellbeing and introduce some tactical ways in which we can work to improve the work environment.

E cigarettes… are they a Smoking gun?

To examine current trends an attitudes towards Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS)

Objectives

Measuring oral health – National Epidemiology Survey Programme

To

  • Advocate for surveys to be commissioned in each area
  • Increase the participation rates of sites and participants in surveys
  • Develop a reporting tool for survey outcomes appropriate for different audiences.

The Swallows Head & Neck Cancer Charity 

Describe how to seek support, advice, and information on the Journey of a Head & Neck Cancer patient/caregiver

Workplace Wellbeing

To explore some of the research and evidence which is leading the way in new approaches to wellbeing.

E cigarettes… are they a Smoking gun?

  • Discuss the role of ENDS in smoking cessation with their patients.
  • Debate the positive and potential negative aspects of ENDS
  • Identify the different types of ENDS on the market

Maintenance and development of your knowledge and skills about measures of oral health and dental epidemiology.

The Swallows Head & Neck Cancer Charity

Following the session learners will be able to share the information on the role of the swallow’s charity and signpost patients/ caregiver to support information.

Workplace Wellbeing

To understand what may be impacting on peoples wellbeing and to develop new ideas for workplace wellbeing in our workplaces

E cigarettes… are they a Smoking gun?

The delegates will feel more confident in explaining how ENDS can be used in Smoking Cessation and supporting patients who wish to try this method. Additionally they will feel more informed about discussing concerns patients might have regarding ENDS, in view of recent media reports.
