Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board Qualified from dental school 2003 Qualified from medical school 2009 Completed higher training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in 2018 (South Wales) Appointed as Consultant Maxillofacial / Head & Neck surgeon in August 2018 at University Hospital Wales, Cardiff Relocated to Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board in March 2021 to set up free tissue transfer service Practice is ablative and reconstructive surgery for oral cancer, oropharyngeal cancer and metastatic skin cancer in the head and neck. Objectives | To revise and reinforce the appearance of cancer and precancerous lesions. To ensure dental professionals are assessing and referring suspected oral cancer cases appropriately. | ||
Learning outcomes | Delegates will be able to list and recognise the signs and symptoms of oral cancer and potentially malignant mucosal disorders. Delegates will be able to list the risk factors of oral cancers. Delegates will understand when and how to refer suspected oral cancer cases. | ||
