To familiarise the Foundation Dentists (FDs) with the uses of clinical photography in general dental practice

To ensure the FDs understand the equipment and settings specifically used for intra-oral photography

To ensure the FDs understand the legislation (GDPR) for the use and storage of clinical photographs, as part of clinical records and for social media and marketing.

DFT Curriculum Mapped Learning Outcomes:

Clinical 1.3

Perform a comprehensive extra-oral and intra-oral examination that is suitable for the clothed patient, and record the findings accurately through communication with a supporting healthcare professional.
