DescriptionThis short webinar looks at some of the skins lesions that may be seen on patients visiting for dental check ups or treatment. Aiming to help you identify common malignant skin lesions in the head and neck and providing advice for referring on to Specialist treatment. With some simple advice and Public Health messages on preventative measures against skin cancer. This course is suitable for all members of the dental team. GDC Outcome C.

• Qualified from dental school 2003

• Qualified from medical school 2009

• Completed higher training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in 2018 (South Wales)

• Appointed as Consultant Maxillofacial / Head & Neck surgeon in August 2018 at University Hospital Wales, Cardiff

• Relocated to Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board in March 2021 to set up free tissue transfer service

• Practice is ablative and reconstructive surgery for oral cancer, oropharyngeal cancer and metastatic skin cancer in the head and neck.

Our unit offers the full range of soft tissues, hard tissue and composite free tissue reconstruction.
