Aims

Small group teaching covering the subject Paediatric dentistry in General dental practice

Objectives

Small group interactive teaching to facilitate the learning outcomes as listed below and/or identified by the TPD in advance as a focus area of development

Learning outcomes

To demonstrate an understanding in the management and prevention of caries in the paediatric patient in general practice

To Understand the practical application of deciduous tooth pulp therapy and the hall application of stainless steel crowns.

To be able to diagnose and treat dental trauma in children and refer appropriately

To be able effectively manage the behaviour of anxious paediatric patients and seek appropriate referral.
