| Description | This evening is entirely devoted to Dental Nurses and Student Dental Nurses. These monthly meetings have been set up for Dental Nurses in the south region (Ox/Bucks/Berks/Hamps/I.O.W) to give Dental Nurses an ability to network and share ideas through open discussion, support their wellbeing plus be empowered to progress and further their career if they wish to do so. This will be delivered via MS Teams Webinar. There will be an hour's CPD in which our speaker Rebecca Silver focuses on the important role of the Dental Nurse with regards to managing and reporting Sexual Harassment in the workplace. GDC Outcome A, B & D. Following this will be an open forum and peer review discussion chaired by our guest speaker and the facilitating Tutor. | ||
| Additional information | Rebecca Silver is a multi-award-winning dental nurse with over 15 years of experience in the dental industry. During her time, she has worked in both NHS and private practice, as well as with numerous specialties; endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, sedation, orthodontics, prosthodontics and with implant dentists. As well as focusing on her dental nursing career, she has continued to excel in academia. She has obtained post registration certificates in Oral Health Education and Dental Nursing Sedation. She also has a foundation degree in Advance Dental Nursing and a master’s degree in advanced and specialist healthcare (Applied to Dental Practice). She is a sedation and fluoride tutor, having gained her level 3 award in Education and Training. She is on the editorial board of the Dental Nursing Journal and on the reader panel of The British Dental Journal Team journal. She has had articles published in other dental media and is always striving to help new dental nurses get their foot into publishing. Rebecca has spoken at dental shows in both Birmingham, London and Bristol.
