SubjectConscious Sedation
DescriptionConscious sedation is used to help patients have their dental treatment where this is not possible using local anaesthesia and/or behaviour management techniques alone. This session will outline standard techniques used, training requirements and basic requirements relating to patient information. This talk is suitable for the entire dental team and meets GDC development outcomes A & C.

Shalini is a Specialist in Special Care Dentistry and the Assistant Head of Berkshire CDS. She has over 12 years’ experience in treating patients under sedation and in mentoring colleagues in their sedation techniques.
