| Lecturer profile | Lesley Taylor qualified from Cardiff in 1991 and worked as a house officer in the oral medicine and prosthetic departments of the hospital before entering general practice and then the community dental service as a vocational trainee. She continued as a community dental officer whilst working part-time as an associate in general practice. Following a year travelling she entered general practice as a full-time associate. Lesley has had various roles including clinical supervisor, lecturer, postgraduate tutor, and speciality doctor in restorative dentistry. She also gained further qualifications including a diploma in postgraduate dental studies, certificate in medical education and a Master of laws. In 2010 she took up the role of training programme director for the longitudinal foundation dental scheme, based at the teaching unit in Port Talbot, South Wales, where she remained until 2016 when she joined the dental defence Union as a Dento-Legal advisor. |
