Lecturer profileDr Linda Greenwall was born in Cape Town, South Africa and following in her father’s and grandfather’s footsteps (both dentists), she graduated from Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1984. Working in general practice following her graduation and moving to London, began to specialise in restorative dentistry, before embarking upon an MSc at Guy’s (London). During her time in private practice she developed a special interest in tooth whitening, undertaking extensive research on this subject as part of her MSc studies, not only helping her to gain a distinction, but also becoming the first dentist in the UK to research the subject. Linda has also written an award-winning book on tooth whitening and lectures internationally on tooth bleaching, aesthetic dentistry and practice management. Linda has gone on to write 2 further books; another on tooth whitening techniques and more recently, ‘Success Strategies for the Aesthetic Dental Practice’. Linda has written many papers on these subjects and is editor in chief of Aesthetic Dentistry Today magazine. Linda is also chairperson of the British Dental Bleaching Society and the Dental Wellness Trust, a dental charity she set up in 2011 which aims to bring dental wellness to less fortunate communities both in the UK and abroad
