| Lecturer profile | Dr Enamel Ali FDS RCS (Eng), BDS, MBBS, GDC 71103, GMC 6076085, has dedicated has career in the field of both oral and maxillofacial surgery for the past 19 years. He holds degrees in both Bachelor of Dental and Medical Sciences, enabling him to treat patient’s oral pathology while keeping in mind their other medical needs. Dr Ali is an Associate Specialist at Homerton University Hospital, London, handling special and complex cases under LA/IV sedation/GA. He also works in affiliated practices providing Independent Minor Oral Surgery (IMOS) services for their local Trusts. As a senior member of staff he plays a pivotal role in day-to-day departmental operations and clinical governance related activities. He has an interest in teaching and is an Educational Supervisor, taking great joy in sharing his expertise with colleagues to help them with their careers. Dr Ali remains focused in striving to achieve excellence in clinical practice and procedures, and is committed to CPD. | Lecturer profile | Dr Fadi Barrak BDS Brist 1993; FDS RCS Eng 1997; MB BS Lond 2000; DipImpDent RCSEd, GDC 69265, is registered as a specialist in Oral Surgery and is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology. He is the academic lead for the Masters course in dental implantology at the University of Central Lancashire and is responsible for the development and delivery of the curriculum. He graduated in Dentistry from Bristol University followed by Medicine from Imperial College, London. Being dually qualified, he is also a Fellow of RCS England and an Affiliate of the RCS Edinburgh, having attained the Diploma in Implant Dentistry there. Fadi has also completed raining in Applied Occlusal Principles by the International Partnership for the Study of Occlusion which focused on full mouth rehabilitation. He has a combined experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery in both hospital and primary care settings since 1994, and is also a mentor for the Association of Dental Implantology and the International Team for Implantology. He has 13 years’ experience in implantology which constitutes over 90% of his clinical work and mentors colleagues from beginners to experienced surgeons. |
