DescriptionThis module picks up from Module 1 and starts by looking at the evidence relating to the assessment of prognosis before discussing periodontal treatment planning in detail. The initial discussion on prognosis will be followed by a series of mini presentations interspersed with discussions on case histories and short practical sessions. Topics will include a logical approach to periodontal treatment planning, bacterial biofilms and the importance of self-performed plaque control and how to motivate patients to clean better. There will be practical sessions on the best oral hygiene methods to use and clinical photography demystified.
