This course is one of a number of courses designed to provide an introduction to NHS dentistry essential for dentists who are undertaking vocational training by assessment.

This course is designed to demonstrate and allow you to practice techniques and successfully treat many of the caes of periodontal disease that you will see in practice.

The course is also suitable for dentists who are new to the NHS or who are returning to NHS dental practice.

  1. To train participants to carry out effective Hand instrumentation of root surfaces in patients suffering from periodontitis.
  2. To train participants to carry out effective Ultrasonix instrumentation of root surfaces in patients suffering from periodontitis.
  3. To apply knowledge of current concepts learned at the previous lecture day to the practical instrumentation of root surfaces.
