DescriptionThis first module covers the aetiology of periodontal conditions, their diagnosis and assessment. The day also covers risk factors for periodontitis in depth, and there is an introduction to the concept of assessing periodontal prognosis for individual teeth.
Additional informationAn initial presentation on periodontal diagnosis is followed by groupwork on cases with diagnostic dilemmas or problems. This is followed by discussion on cases with diagnostic dilemmas or problems. There will also be an interactive exercise on the assessment of prognosis for individual teeth.

  4. To appreciate the factors influencing the assessment of prognosis for individual teeth.
