  1. • An understanding of the requirements for and processes involved in risk assessment within the workplace and resultant action. • The analysis of patient safety incidents and the development of strategies (e.g. Significant Event Analysis) to reduce the risk of reoccurrence. • The procedures for local critical incident reporting systems. • The legal issues relating to health & safety and infection control (including COSHH – Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), and where to get additional information if necessary.
