DescriptionThis morning course for Induction Module 1 (Health & Safety) of the Dental Nurse Blended Learning Scheme.(DENBLS)
Additional information[Induction Module 2 - Infection Control is available in the afternoon]
This 6 part induction programme (held along side the 6 modules of DNART) is for Dental Nurses who have less than 2 years experience as a DN and are unable to get a place on either a National Certificate or NVQ course. On completion of the Induction programme the DN will continue with the DN NET package consisting of 13 CD Rom/Internet based modules. There will also be an additional 10 tutorials to assist with the CD Rom package. The course will prepare the DNs to sit the National Certificate exam in November 2008

  2. Describe how a dental establishment should ensure the health and safety of staff and patients in the general working environment.
  3. Recognise and control accidents which occur within the practice.
  4. Identify health and safety issues concerned specifically with dentistry and describe the appropriate action.
