DescriptionProfessor Steele will address the audience on the findings of his independent review of NHS Dental Services in England. He is an enthusiastic and engaging speaker and his presentation will be followed by an open forum chaired by Helen Falcon, Postgraduate Dental Dean, NESC.
Additional informationProfessor Steele’s vision of the changing face of NHS dentistry looks towards a better deal for both patients and dentists, and is all about ensuring that patients can see an NHS dentist who will take long-term responsibility for their care. The review has called for a reintroduction of registration and a reward system that recognises quality of service and outcomes, with the development of a ‘consistent set of quality measures’. It also makes recommendations to improve access to NHS Dental Services for the patient, and provide better support for dentists working under NHS contract. This will then enable NHS dentists to achieve the highest quality of care for patients and do more to promote life-long oral health.

We anticipate that the meeting will appeal to any dental professional with an interest in providing services under NHS contract. We therefore urge you to book early to avoid disappointment.

The meeting is intended for any dental professional with an interest in Professor Steele’s recent review.
