Demystifying Complete Dentures (PO100709)

AvailabilityCourse has taken place
SubjectProsthodontics
DescriptionThis one-day course is aimed at helping the general dental practitioner to achieve predictable, functional and aesthetic complete dentures every time.
Additional informationThe symposium will provide an insight into the various techniques which may be employed to optimise retention and stability for complete dentures. By the end of the course, participants will be able to understand the underlying anatomy of prosthetic impressions, recognise the advantages and disadvantages of various impression materials, identify the common errors in jaw registration and know how to combine art and science using modern materials to achieve a successful treatment outcome.

A sound biological approach to complete denture construction is obviously necessary, but the dental practitioner must also be aware of the technical aspects of denture construction, in order that they may direct the manufacture of the prostheses for which they are clinically and legally responsible. Failure to communicate clearly with a dental technician cannot facilitate an harmonious prosthodontic team. The course will also enable you to communicate effectively with the dental laboratory.

The day will be interactive and problem-solving, and will demonstrate that complete dentures really don’t hold any mysteries and can be a very profitable part of general dental practice.

This course is intended for General Dental Practitioners and Clinical Dental Technicians
