Aims
  1. Understand the problems facing people with mental health disorders. Appreciate the problems with communication & consent
  2. Be able to understand the dental problems of people with mental illness. Be able to understand the dental problems of people with mental illness.
  3. Appreciate the implications of poor manual handling and understand the principles of good manual handling technique and adopting good posture. Have an Understanding of legislation surrounding Manual Handling and the principles of risk assessment and documentation.
  4. Demonstrate safe handling techniques and understand controversial technique. Understand the term “clinical holding” for when it is necessary and how far can we go?
