SubjectLegal & Ethics & Handling Complaints
DescriptionSome say there is a climate of fear in dentistry. Some lie awake at night worrying about what happened in the practice earlier that day. It is certainly true to say that dental teams and individuals worry about running into trouble. How many times have you asked yourself – am I going to get a complaint? or will I end up at the GDC? or get sued? These extremely relevant dentolegal sessions look at the main issues which can result in complaints, claims and GDC investigations, and how to avoid them. They include relevant practical tips for managing patient expectations and minimising risk. Having this valuable intelligence can help you to be one step ahead, to reduce your risk, and reduce your worries. This is particularly relevant as we return to dentistry in the “new normal” after the Covid lockdown.
