  1. Identification of the individual risk of cardio-respiratory arrest.
  2. The provision of appropriate, effective adult basic life support.
  3. Management of the airway using simple techniques & adjuncts.
  4. Effective ventilation using a pocket mask and self-inflating bag valve mask.
  5. Safe use of an automated external difibrillator.
